CSC 142 - Computer Science


Prerequisites:
Primary placement method used for any student whose high school transcript can be interpreted for use with the calculation spreadsheet: High School GPA + High School Math composite calculation >= 4.5

or, for students where we cannot use the composite high school calculation: an ACT Math score of at least 20

Explore computer programming, including data types, expressions, input/output, control structures, functional and object-oriented programming, and simple data structures.  Emphasis on problem-solving skills through program refinement, documentation, and programming style occurs.
