MAP 225  
CAREER AND TECHNICAL CREDIT TYPE

Techniques of assisting with examinations, diagnostic and testing procedures including EKG. Clinical skills include vital signs, sterile procedures and medical asepsis, pulmonary function.



Course Learning Outcomes
1. Student will communicate effectively to medical lab settings using appropriate and correct vocabulary and terminology.
2. Students will competently perform procedures typically for medical lab settings.
3. Students will follow established medical lab protocol.
4. Student will demonstrate proper safety and emergency practices in the medical lab settings.
5. Perform a quality control measures.
6. Students will use applied mathematics to correctly interpret test results.
7. Student will apply principles of infection control to wound care.
