FLS 141 - Elementary Spanish I STANDARD CREDIT TYPE 4 credit(s)
A beginning-level course in the Spanish language that takes a communicative approach to developing proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students also develop an awareness of Hispanic culture in other countries and in the United States.
Course Learning Outcomes
| 1. Express ideas using regular and irregular verbs in the present tense. |
| 2. Identify and use key vocabulary about greetings and introductions, academic life, the family, and pastimes and sports. |
| 3. Perform elemental functions in Spanish such as greetings, spelling out words, counting, telling time, and using adjectives. |
| 4. Recognize and appreciate cultural information, such as geography, holidays, social customs, music, artists, writers, and more. |
