DEA 428 - Laboratory Procedures


Prerequisites:
DEA 252 , DEA 402 , and DEA 503

Applies laboratory and selected clinical application of dental specialties. Includes identification of armamentarium, coronal polish techniques, application of fluoride, fabrication of specialty appliances and temporaries, as well as the basic principles of denture repair.



Course Learning Outcomes
1. Perform a coronal polish to clinical proficiency and employ patient preventive education. 

2. Demonstrate assisting with oral surgery and periodontal procedures. 

3. Demonstrate assisting with removable prosthodontic techniques and fabricate prosthetics. 

4. Demonstrate assisting with endodontic and orthodontic specialty procedures and fabricate appliances.
