Examines the topics of cloud and virtualization technologies. Students will learn the components, types, benefits, and uses of virtualization. Explores the role virtualization plays in the cloud, software-defined datacenter, and the imaging/deployment of computers. Enhances and reinforces understanding of the material covered through low-level laboratory exercises.
Course Learning Outcomes 1. Create and manage virtual machines, both Type 1 and Type 2.
2. Deploy hypervisors and configure virtual machine administrative consoles.
3. Evaluate access controls and resource usage in a virtualized environment.
