Observations of physical education programs and classes in the surrounding community, with opportunity for discussion and evaluation included.

1. Explain the history, foundations, and significance of the multifaceted fields comprising physical education, exercise science, and sport.

2. Assess the potential of various careers in the fields of physical education, exercise science, and sport.

3. Analyze how the philosophies and activities of physical education, exercise science, and sport will play a major role in the active lifestyles of those they influence throughout their careers.
