Course Learning Outcomes
1. Recognize music from the different historical periods in Western music (Middle Ages to present.)

2. Distinguish between the various genres of music.

3. Identify music when hearing it as being from various cultures, nationalities, and religions.

4. Identify the form of musical examples while listening.

5. Describe the various functions of music through the ages.

6. Formulate opinions, questions, and responses about musical topics in a discussion format.
