MAT 765 - Welding Mathematics


CAREER AND TECHNICAL CREDIT TYPE
3 credit(s)

Covers basic algebra as it relates to fundamental equations, ratios and proportions, and percentages. Also covers basic right angle trigonometry and provides for additional practice in solving stated problems.



Course Learning Outcomes
1. Students will identify and use mathematical vocabulary for arithmetic operations, area, volume and trigonometry.
2. Students will perform arithmetic operations by calculator with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, mixed numbers, averages,   percentages, and conversions; including metric system measurements.
3. Students will calculate for regular geometric figures, area, volume and perimeter.
4. Students will understand the concepts of angular development and measurement and Calculate Bends,Stretch-outs, and Economical Layout.
