Focus on current concepts in the fields of health, safety, nutrition and their relationship to the growth and development of the young child ages birth to eight. Learn the influences of families and diversity on health, safety, and nutrition in early childhood settings.



Course Learning Outcomes
1. The learner should be able to articulate the importance of role modeling positive health actions by teachers
2. The learner should be able to recommend evidence-based strategies of education, supervision and observation for maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
3. The learner should be able to create developmentally appropriate health/safety/nutrition learning experiences for young children.
