This course will introduce the student to the basic elements of electronic commerce. The course focuses on the business and technical issues faced by a company that enters the e-commerce market. Topics include products, advertising, resource requirements, third party options, technical and operational issues.

2. Describe the Internet, World Wide Web, technology infrastructure and how Internet, Email and Web protocols work. |
3. Describe Business-to-Business Activities, their purpose and the process of marketing and selling on the web. |
4. Describe Social Networking, Mobile Commerce, Online Auctions, and their impact on the Business World. |
5. Explain the Legal, Ethical, and Tax Issues and Online Security Issues involved with Electronic Commerce. |
