AUT 603 - Basic Automotive Electricity

This course will provide introduction and instruction in electrical theory and basic electrical circuits. The student will be introduced into the safe handling and operating techniques using electrical diagnostic equipment. Safety, meters, and service information will be emphasized.



Course Learning Outcomes
  1. Utilize Ohm’s law to examine electrical circuits.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to use a Digital Multimeter to perform electrical measurements.
  3. Test battery, starting, and charging systems to determine condition.
  4. Test basic electrical systems to determine fault type and location.
