Breeding animal and market animal evaluation of beef, swine and sheep using contemporary techniques and tools. Communication and decision-making skills are practiced in the context of making selection decisions.



Course Learning Outcomes
1. Evaluate breeding cattle, swine, and sheep using visual appraisal and performance records.
2. Evaluate and grade market animals and understand how visual differences affect the economic value of the carcasses they produce.
3. Defend decisions by presenting accurate, clear and concise oral and/or written reasons.
