AGM 121 - Machinery Repair & Maintenance Prerequisites: AGM 110 CAREER AND TECHNICAL CREDIT TYPE 4 credit(s)
This course will provide an in-depth knowledge and skill set to learn basic machinery repair processes and proper maintenance procedures. Emphasis will be on major types of agricultural equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and combines. Students will also learn what tools are needed and how to use them safely and properly.
Course Learning Outcomes
1. Know what tools are needed to be a mobile service technician and how to operate them properly and safely |
2. Learn how to properly service and maintain various types of agricultural equipment that will include:
a)Tractors
b)Harvesters
c)Planters
d)Diesel engines in general |
3. Be able to repair basic and/or common breakdowns. |
4. Demonstrate common maintenance skills such as:
a)Changing oil
b)Replacing filters
c)Proper record keeping
