An introduction to theories and implications of intercultural communication as applied to the workplace and interpersonal relationships. Topics and activities are directed toward improving skills in intercultural competence.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Identify the functions of communication, especially intercultural communication.

2. Recognize challenges that arise from communication differences in intercultural interactions and ways to creatively address them.

3. Describe the importance of the roles of context and power in studying intercultural communication.

4. Implement skills and attitudes that demonstrate intercultural communication competence.
