Different types of breeding techniques analyzed in class and on-site. Both mare and stallion reproductive systems included, along with care and maintenance of horses on a breeding farm.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate knowledge of stallion and broodmare management.

2. Identify a normal gestation in the mare.

3. Interpret impending foaling signs, in the mare, to predict foaling.

4. Apply neonatal foal management after parturition.
