Provides students with the entry-level skills to become a general machinist, a CNC operator or programmer, or a tool & die maker. They gain experience with basic machining on manual and computer-numerical control (CNC) machines, computer-aided drafting (CAD) and computer-aided machining (CAM) programming, lathes, mills, and electrical-discharges machines (EDM). Students also gain hands-on experience in tool-making, die building, jig and fixture building, tool-room machining, and basic design skills.
