Interpret construction drawings and terminology to obtain information needed for estimating materials, coordinating work processes, and supporting project management. Students apply blueprint reading and documentation skills to real-world construction tasks.
Course Learning Outcomes 1. Read and interpret plans to compute distance, identify symbols, scale a drawing, and determine metric dimensions and scales.
2. Identify and interpret blueprint reading and estimating terminology.
3. Determine required materials, detailed work drawings, and the quality of work expected.
4. Interpret the various plot, elevation, floor, plumbing, electrical, and heating plans.
