Prerequisites: Completion of ACM 116 Service Dog Training I with a B or higher. CAREER AND TECHNICAL CREDIT TYPE 2 credit(s)
Develop advanced handling and training skills applicable to service dog training. Offers practical opportunities to apply these skills while working with an assigned service dog. This course is the second in a two-course sequence, building on competencies acquired in ACM 116 .
Course Learning Outcomes 1. Apply acquired skills effectively to ensure the proper training and development of service dogs.
2. Demonstrate responsible care of assigned service dog, ensuring the animal’s health, safety, and well-being through proper care and attention to details.
3. Communicate effectively by expressing ideas clearly, listening attentively, and responding with respect and understanding.
