Use of lab equipment, measuring techniques, familiarization with circuit components, and experiment with electrical circuits. 



Course Learning Outcomes
  1. Use electric principles and theories to create and analyze electric circuits in a laboratory situation.
  2. Explain the basic electrical properties of voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, and inductance.
  3. Explain concepts of DC and AC circuits including series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits.
  4. Explain Ohm’s Law (R=E/I) and the variables of resistance, voltage, and current.
  5. Explain the power formula (P=EI) and the variables of power, voltage, and current.
  6. State how power is generated and distributed.
  7. Set up and safely use electric equipment in a laboratory situation.
  8. Inspect work area and equipment for a safe working environment.
  9. Interpret component identifiers and read schematics containing RCL devices.
