PET 191 - Advanced Athletic Training II

PET 105   and PET 189

Continue learning the basics of athletic training (AT) by focusing more specifically on the anatomy and physiology of the human body, with a special focus on the upper and lower body. Learn how to complete injury evaluations and assessments. Learn how to create rehabilitation programs. Practice AT skills in the classroom, as well as the Athletic Training room, under the supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer.



Course Learning Outcomes
1.  Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to the evaluation and assessment of common athletic injuries.

2.  Demonstrate the ability to perform a thorough injury evaluation to determine the nature of the injury.

3.  Create treatment and rehabilitation programs for specific athletic injuries.

4.  Practice and perform athletic training skills and special tests for common athletic injuries under the supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer.
