This course introduces the student to basic concepts, languages and tools used in the development of an e-commerce website. Students will identify effective design concepts and characteristics of successful websites. They will use current tools and techniques to design and create e-commerce websites.

Course Learning Outcomes

1. Plan a website application project.

2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of image manipulation and presentation on a website application.

3. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the current version of HTML.

4. Demonstrate a basic understanding of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and how to use CSS to implement the following effects on a website application.

5. Determine how to publish a website using current HTML editors and demonstrate additions such as making and updating modifications and adding javascript elements.
