This course covers the design and management of an animal care facility. Topics include facility design, observation and reporting, facility maintenance, general operation, sanitation, and management techniques.

  1. Describe the major components of facility design for vertebrate species in industry, research, veterinary and conservation settings.
  2. Identify the observation and reporting requirements for animal care facilities.
  3. Develop a plan to effectively operate an animal care facility.
