Examines the associate degree study of medical-surgical nursing, including concepts relating to oncology; neurological disorders; visual and auditory disorders; and peripheral vascular disorders. Course work develops the skills for client assessment, the nursing process, and comprehensive nursing interventions for maintenance and health promotion of complex health deviations. The associated clinical component includes an acute medical-surgical settings and a preceptor experience in leadership/management on acute care medical-surgical units.
