AGE 175 - Equitation I


Prerequisites:
Grade of C- or better in AGE 145  and AGE 214   and student must score 70% or better on the Fundamentals of Riding Proficiency Test

Review and demonstrate performance objectives from AGE 145 . Students will refine their riding skills in both Western and English styles. Emphasis will be placed on basic riding in the following disciplines: Jumping, Dressage, and English Equitation along with Western Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Reining, Trail, and Western Riding.



Course Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate principle Western Horsemanship skills and safety while riding.

2. Demonstrate principle English Equitation skills and safety while riding.

3. Apply a balanced seat while riding both Western and English disciplines.
